Your connection, your permissions, your control.
What can I ask?
Find workflows pending for more than ten days and the missing signers, compare signed document volumes across quarters, or look up everything signed with a specific client. You can also ask your assistant to draft a follow-up message or meeting briefing using the results.
How does setup work for each assistant?
For Claude, a local extension adds tools to Claude Desktop. For GitHub Copilot, add the remote server to VS Code. For ChatGPT, open the official Apps listing and confirm the connection from your account. Follow the instructions on the setup page and authorize with your personal Legale API key.
Can the assistant sign or change documents?
No. The connector is read-only. It cannot create workflows, send documents for signature, change templates or delete information. Signing and changes remain in Legale.
Who can access my information?
The connection operates with your existing Legale permissions. Each connection is individual, and each AI service requires its own authorization. Every query is recorded with the user identity and the operation invoked.
Can I revoke access?
Yes. Delete the API key from your Legale account to stop the connection. Keys are personal and should not be shared between users or services.
How is my information handled by the AI service?
The connector returns the information needed to answer a query, rather than a copy of your entire account. The AI provider handles that information under its own service terms.
Should I verify the answers?
Yes. AI can summarize information incorrectly. Check important figures in Legale before approving a report for your board, a client or a court.
