Legale.io digitizes the entire lifecycle of employment documents: contracts, amendments, certificates and severance settlements are generated, signed and stored securely in one place. Thanks to automation and advanced electronic signatures, formerly manual processes become rapid, traceable workflows, reducing errors and ensuring the integrity of every document.
Authorization in Chile #
Chile’s Labor Directorate evaluated Despapeliza S.p.A. (Legale.io) and concluded that its platform meets all technical requirements for managing, signing and storing labor documentation electronically. The legal opinion ORD. N° 3122 states that the system “fulfills all the requirements… therefore its use is lawful”. This makes Legale.io the only platform in Chile officially authorized to generate and sign contracts, settlements and other employment documents electronically.
Compliance in Mexico #
In Mexico, Official Standard NOM 151 sets requirements for preserving data messages and digitizing documents. The standard obliges organizations to use time stamps and preservation certificates issued by accredited providers to guarantee the integrity and authenticity of documents. Legale.io complies with NOM 151 by applying digital time stamps and conservation certificates, ensuring that labor contracts and amendments are legally valid in Mexico and can serve as evidence in disputes.
Compliance in Colombia #
Colombia has recognized electronic and digital signatures since Law 527 of 1999. That law, together with Decree 2364 of 2012, states that any document requiring a signature may be signed electronically if the mechanism is reliable; the data used to create the signature must be exclusively controlled by the signer, and any modification after signing must be detectable. Legale.io uses electronic signatures and digital certificates that meet these conditions, providing an audit trail demonstrating identity, integrity and exclusive control.
Compliance in Uruguay #
Uruguay’s Law 18.600 (2009) recognizes the admissibility, validity and legal effectiveness of electronic signatures. The law distinguishes between simple electronic signatures and digital signatures (equivalent to advanced signatures), and stipulates that any document authenticated with an electronic signature is presumed to be authored by the holder of the corresponding private key. Legale.io applies cryptographic certificates and authentication mechanisms that satisfy these requirements, enabling Uruguayan companies to manage contracts and employment documents with full legal security.
Compliance in Brazil #
In Brazil, the Civil Code and Provisional Executive Act 2.200‑2 of 2001 (MP 2200) recognize the validity of electronic agreements signed with digital signatures, provided the identity of the signer and the integrity of the document are guaranteed. Brazil’s Public Key Infrastructure (ICP‑Brasil) issues digital certificates; documents signed with these certificates enjoy a legal presumption of authenticity. Legale.io integrates certificates issued by accredited certification authorities and meets the requirements of authorship and integrity so that electronically signed labor documents have the same legal force as a handwritten signature.
Presence across Latin America #
Beyond the countries mentioned, Legale.io’s platform adapts to the regulatory frameworks of other Latin American markets. Regional laws generally recognize the legal equivalence of electronic and digital signatures when the signer’s identity and document integrity are protected. Legale.io applies international encryption and audit standards, allowing companies to operate with electronic employment contracts across multiple countries without worrying about regulatory differences.
