5. Identification and user

Table of Contents

Position #

The Position field automatically captures the geographic location of the user at the moment they interact with the form. This information is typically stored as coordinates and later displayed in the document for traceability. It is especially relevant in legal or compliance workflows where it is important to know where the signer or user was physically located when the action took place. This field can also be configured as required or conditional, depending on whether geolocation is always necessary or only in specific scenarios.

User Name #

The User Name field inserts the name of the authenticated user who is filling out or signing the document. It eliminates the need for manual input, ensuring that the correct user information is automatically pulled from the system. This field is often used in headers, footers, or signature sections to provide clear identification of the participant. Like other fields, it can be marked as required or conditional, giving flexibility depending on the document’s purpose.
