Senior Database Reliability Engineer (Remote)
As a Senior Database Reliability Engineer at Legale, you’ll be in charge of making sure our databases run smoothly and can handle all our needs. You’ll work with our team to keep our database clusters working well and help us improve our document management system. Your job is to make sure everything stays reliable and can handle our growing business.
What you’ll do:
- Lead the way in making sure our databases can handle all the data we throw at them, making sure they're reliable and perform well.
- Set up rules and best practices for how we use and change our databases, making sure everything stays consistent.
- Keep an eye on important stats about our databases so we can catch any problems early.
- Work with our app developers to make sure they're using our databases the right way and help them write better queries.
- Team up with our Infrastructure folks to make sure our services keep running smoothly and we can get updates out to our customers without any hiccups.
- If something goes wrong with our databases, you'll jump in and fix it, making sure it doesn't happen again.
- Write down how we do things and find ways to automate tasks so we can work more efficiently.
- Keep an eye on new technologies that could help us improve our databases.
What you’ll bring:
- 5+ years of experience with database administration.
- You know your way around databases, including how to back them up and recover them if something goes wrong.
- Great at managing databases, tweaking them to perform their best and fixing any problems that come up.
- You've designed and managed databases before and know how to plan for the future.
- You know how to move data between different databases and make sure everything stays in sync.
- You're an expert at writing queries and can tell if they're going to cause problems.
