Staff Software Engineer (Remote)
As a Lead Software Engineer at Legale, you’ll be a seasoned developer leading a small team. Your main job is to create and maintain complex software, working closely with others on the team. You’ll also work with managers and other leads to come up with new systems and make sure everything runs smoothly.
What you’ll do:
- Creation of diagrams to plan out how the software will function.
- Providing assistance and guidance to other team members.
- Collaboration with product managers to determine software requirements.
- Building web apps capable of handling large user loads.
- Developing tools and services to enhance the platform.
- Monitoring system performance and addressing any issues.
- Ensuring software speed, reliability, and security.
- Contributing to server-side and database code.
- Contributing to client-side code for web browsers.
- Ensuring software meets standards and functions properly.
- Involvement in all stages of software development, from planning to release.
- Writing code that is reusable, testable, and scalable.
- Working in a learning-oriented team environment.
- Providing training and support to team members.
What you’ll bring:
- At least 10 years of experience as a software engineer.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Proficiency in databases and relevant technologies.
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming.
- Experience with cloud systems.
- Previous experience leading teams on projects.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Prior experience building real web applications.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication skills and willingness to share knowledge.
- Self-motivation and adaptability to changing technologies.
